Google PageRank
Posted by Johnny - 30/05/10 at 07:05:08 pmI’ve been off the blog for a while, perfecting my game as of late. One thing that I’ve been working on much as of late is learning as much as I can about the inner workings of G. Currently, I’m delving into PageRank and how it works. The idea is to improve my SEO abilities & get through some of the bad info that’s out there.
I just made this post to share a few interesting articles:

Social ADR Part III
Posted by Johnny - 29/04/10 at 02:04:11 amA couple weeks ago I told you guys about SocialADR, a bookmark sharing site. What I really liked about this site is that it gives you the opportunity to have your bookmarks shared by many different users, using many different accounts on over a dozen different social bookmarking sites. I thought it was time to come back to the service after having used it daily for the last couple weeks.
I set up a free account, because I wanted to see what the results would be for the average user, who’s not going to pay for a subscription. When I first began using Social ADR, I’ll admit that I was really impressed with the results. My site got bookmarked almost instantly & I saw results in the SERPs for my sites within a couple of days. I started by adding just one site to be shared, and after I started getting results decided to add a few more.
Adding more than one site, unfortunately, has been less than successful. SocialADR doesn’t take it for granted that just because they’ve done the submitting for you that the bookmarks you share for other users are actually submitted. Every single bookmark that you share has to be verified (how, I don’t know), and that takes time. You need these shares to be credited to your account because for your bookmarks to be shared, you have to pay credits (which you get from your shares or monthly subscription fee).
Like I said, it was nice at first when all I had to do was log in once a day and share my limit of five bookmarks. After about a week and a half, my one site had been shared over 100 times, which was great & which was what made me add more sites to be shared. With more than one site, your bookmarks get shared too quickly & you end up not having very many shares of each site you’ve submitted.
So, to that end, if you’re just sharing one site I think you’ll probably like SocialADR. Someone has to do all the sharing, and it only takes me a couple of minutes to share each day – no big deal. If you’ve got a whole list of sites you want shared, you may want to consider paying for the service & ensuring that you have enough credits to get your bookmarks shared in a timely manner. That, however, is not the end of this update.
In addition to getting poor results by adding more than one site, I’m finding that after a few weeks of sharing on SocialADR, I’m not getting the results that I was when I first started. This is most definitely due to the fact that you’re only allowed to include one description & one set of tags for each site you share. After 100 instances of the same bookmark over the same 17 social bookmarking sites, despite what user posted the bookmark, I think Google stops paying attention. I’m still using the service, because of its’ ease (it’s too easy not to click 5 times a day for free backlinks…) but I don’t think I’ll be upgrading to the paid service, at least not in its’ current encarnation.
My final verdict is that, for some free backlinks, you can’t go wrong, get on SocialADR & share away. If you’re wondering about whether it’s worth the money – I’d be hesitant. Maybe if they included a spinning feature for your description or tags, you could squeeze a bit more mileage out of your shares, but as it stands I don’t think it’s worth your monthly fee.
WP Robot
Posted by admin - 23/04/10 at 03:04:59 pmIf you guys haven’t heard about WP Robot, this is something that you’ve got to check out. It’s an autoblogging WordPress plugin. It allows you to add pages with affiliate offering to your blog on auto-pilot.
You need your own hosting, which you can get for free, to be able to install the plugin to your WordPress blog. After you’ve set up WP Robot, all you have to do is insert your ClickBank/Amazon/EBay affiliate ID, specify categories for your products, specify frequency of posts & let WP Robot do its’ thing! You can do a few forced ads to get some content on your site if it’s a new domain, or you can just let the plugin work it’s magic & let the site grow over time. Check out this video that shows how fast you can get results using this plugin:
As if that wasn’t enough, what’s great is that you can get a copy of this product for free! You’re limited to promoting ClickBank products and can only install the basic version on 20 websites. If that’s not enough or you want to sell Amazon or EBay products, you can upgrade to the Advanced or Elite versions for $15 & $30 respectively. The Amazon plugin is $40 and the EBay plugin is $20. If you want the entire package, allowing you to add Amazon, EBay, Clickbank as well as Articles from directories like ArticlesBase and EZine, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Answers, Flickr, YouTube, RSS feeds, and translation functions, it only costs a little under $170.
Seeing the results & knowing how quickly you can get these sites up and populated with content, this software is a real steal. I know I’ve already set up a couple of blogs with WP Robot - check out this one on popular hobbies, using only the ClickBank plugin – and am starting to see traffic after only a day. If you guys are interested in WP Robot, you can visit their site by clicking this link.
Free Domain?
Posted by Johnny - 22/04/10 at 09:04:43 pmThose of you who do a lot of marketing on Web 2.0 properties know that most of them allow you the option of using your own domain name. Often as affiliate marketers, we’re looking for free ways to gain extra exposure. We choose Web 2.0 sites because of they offer their services for free, but we’re missing that extra piece of the puzzle – our own domain name.
Here’s a solution some of you may have been waiting for – Co.CC. Not exactly a well kept secret, but some IM’ers don’t know that they can get a real top-level domain name from Co.CC for free.
American marketers, such as myself, will see this as a strange domain to choose. We’re used to .com, .net, ,.org domains as are most internet users in America. Worldwide, however, .com, .net & .org domains are not the only trusted domains. While your market may be American buyers, having a .co.cc domain is an easy way to tap into foreign markets.
From the site, you’re allowed to register & redirect your domain. Sign up for your Web 2.0 site, which your American visitors will recognize & trust, and redirect your own .co.cc domain to your property to gain exposure with foreign surfers. If you have your own hosting & domain, adding a .co.cc domain redirected to your own .com, .net or .org achieves the same effect.
If you don’t want to use the Web 2.0 properties, or you don’t have your own hosting plan already, Co.CC offers you free web hosting as well. For something that’s free, it worth a peek.
Warrior Forum Down
Posted by Johnny - 22/04/10 at 05:04:42 pmThe Warrior Forum has been down all day. No one seems to know why. I’ve tried using different proxies to see if it was a problem with a router somewhere.
Finally I came up with this, one of the proxy servers gives me this response -
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET http://www.warriorforum.com/.
Reason: Error reading from remote server
Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.warriorforum.com Port 80
It’s most obviously a problem with their servers. I’ve seen some people sensationalizing the problem, causing panic. I know there’s nothing to worry about though – if there was serious problem with the Warrior Forum (such as it not being open anymore, etc) admin would have let someone know and that would have broken immediately. Since no one knows, it’s safe to assume it’s just some problem with their servers.
The forum went down this morning around 3am cst (where I am). I literally replied to a thread, went to reload the page & it was gone. I have no clue what’s going on, but I know it will be back – it’s just a matter of time.
Ning.com
Posted by Johnny - 20/04/10 at 05:04:44 pmI’m on a tour of the Web 2.0 world right now, as I’m finalizing my eCourse (mentioned posts ago…). I wanted to bring you guys a little insight on Ning, which I spent the day documenting all the tweaks and strategies that I implement when creating a Ning network.
Much like Zimbio, one of the most powerful features of Ning is that you can create your own content, housed within your own network & also browse other networks on Ning, sharing content & posting on those networks as well. Of course, you have to be posting quality material to other people’s networks, but that’s the focus of your whole campaign, right? Quality content that drives visitors to your target site/affiliate offer?
What’s interesting about Ning is that when they say they let you create your own network, they mean just that. Not only can you post articles, but you’re allow to post video, photo, host a forum, chat room, add applications such as youtube, games, doc sharing services, etc. The list is huge.
People are allowed to join your network, where they get their own profile page, with a wall and layout similar to Facebook. There’s a communal area where you can feature blog posts, forum posts, your chat application, RSS feeds, status updates, you name it. It can connect with Twitter, Facebook and Flickr to share everything that you do with the social networking-sphere.
With so much to offer, it’s possible for you to get a community going & provide interesting things for your visitors to do when they visit, building a relationship with them & making it possible for you to increase your affiliate sales because of that trust.
Again, you can rope users in from other networks by contributing quality articles to their established networks & linking back to your own network. It’s a win-win for everyone. If you haven’t checked out Ning, you need to get over there and see for yourself just how powerful this site really is.
Zimbio.com
Posted by Johnny - 19/04/10 at 05:04:14 pmIf you haven’t gone over to check Zimbio out yet, you need to high-tail it over there and see this site. It’s potentially one of the most powerful Web 2.0 sites that I’ve gotten to know thus far.
Here’s the run-down on why this is such a great site:
1. You can create your own Wikizine on any topic that you’d like.
2. Other Zimbio users are allowed to post to your Zine.
3. You can promote your blog there & Zimbio will automatically import all your posts, promoting them on Zimbio.
4. You can quickly post single blog posts to other people’s Zines.
It becomes possible for you to create your own Wikizine that you maintain & post to regularly, in addition to your blog, then take your best blog posts & post them to other popular Wikizines in your category. You get double the exposure! And with over 20,000,000 visitors per month, Zimbio is nothing to joke about – that’s serious traffic for your Wikizine & blog.
If you haven’t taken the time to set up an account over there at Zimbio, it’s worth your time & I recommend it highly.
SocialAdr Update
Posted by Johnny - 19/04/10 at 11:04:18 amI want to post a quick update about my experience so far with SocialAdr.
I set up my account four days ago on the 15th, and since that time my link has been shared 41 times! I know that’s not really a lot of backlinks, but considering that this is done all on autopilot for me, and for free, it’s really got me excited about this site!
All I do is go into my account, share 5 links a day, and my site is getting linked to all over the Social Bookmarking-sphere. Initial setup of the sites took me about 20-30 minutes. I had accounts at some of the social bookmarking sites and simply had to plug my username/password into SocialAdr. Some sites I had to create a completely new account. If you don’t have accounts on any sites, or you just want a new one on each for SocialAdr, it may take you around an hour to set everything up.
Once all your sites are configured within SocialAdr, daily submission is less than two minutes. You can only submit 5 shared links a day on the free account. Once logged in, your dashboard has a list of shared links on the left. I simply click the share button for each one on the list & I’m done. Every time you share a link, it disappears from the list. It’s literally lightning quick, it’s free and it’s gotten me 40+ quality backlinks on high PR sites in 4 days for about 45 minutes of work, including the initial setup. You can’t beat that.
If you want to get in on this, which I recommend, Click Here to visit the SocialAdr website.
I Hate Fake Internet Marketers
Posted by Johnny - 16/04/10 at 09:04:02 pmI’m a avid reader and contributor over at the Warrior Forum & today I ran across something that made me livid. Over the last couple years, the quality of information being given out by internet marketing gurus has increased, but there are still scam artists and fakes out there taking advantage of the uninformed.
I’m not going to blast this guy’s name all over my site, though his name is Mark. Mark released a WSO over at the Warrior Forum yesterday. For those of you who don’t know what a WSO is, it’s a Warrior Special Offer, a discounted rate on an information product not available outside the Warrior Forum. Since the Warrior Forum offers beginning internet marketers so much information to get them started, when gurus emerge & release their systems to the public they’ll often release them at a discouned rate as a WSO. It’s very popular and they sell very well.
I ran across Mark’s WSO while he was still offering it at $7 a copy. I thought it might be worth a look and perused over the sales copy. He had a video posted that touted his earnings on clickbank – over $1000 a week. I’m always skeptical, so I wondered – is he making that money selling other people’s products or his own?
My interests peaked, I started fishing for more info. Mark doesn’t do a good job of covering his tracks. In his signature he advertises another WSO he offers. I visited that page, took the name of his system & plugged it into the clickbank marketplace – there was Mark’s system, being sold on Clickbank. That in and of itself doesn’t prove anything, so I kept digging to see what else I could find.
Looking at the sales page for that product, I saw that Mark again provided proof of his earnings. What was most notable was that his system was earning his money right now – his video on the new WSO was showing profits from yesterday, April 15, and his old system had screen shots of his clickbank account making cash for him as of January 26th.
I knew what he was doing – his system shows how he made over $287 in 24 hours on January 26th – his WSO for that same system was released on January 24th. Mark had scammed everyone who bought his original system (which I still believe is his sole source of income on Clickbank) by selling them on his earnings, which he didn’t make until releasing it to the Warrior Forum as a WSO at a really nice discount.
Like I said, I hate fakes. These cases are fewer and fewer, but I still hate to see it when it happens. Always check the person you’re buying from, they could be a complete fraud!
SocialAdr
Posted by Johnny - 15/04/10 at 08:04:07 pmIf you guys don’t ever read the endless emails flowing into your inbox every day, though I don’t blame you, you should stop and take a second to see what you’re getting. Most IM gurus that are going to email you are going to give you a combination of both good advice as well as offers for their programs.
Today, I found a gem in my inbox, thanks to a guru I knew was trustworthy. His email pointed me to a site which makes me very excited. It’s called SocialAdr. Those of you that use social bookmarking sites, such as Delicious and Mr. Wong, know how powerful these bookmarks can be. SocialAdr takes that concept to the next level.
SocialAdr allows you to share sites that you want bookmarked, and have other people do the bookmarking for you! This means that you’re not going to sit around laboriously adding bookmark after bookmark of your own sites to each and every single social bookmarking site out there. Instead, you’ll let other people do that job for you. The best part – it’s free!
The way it works is like this – you set up your social bookmarking accounts in SocialAdr, and then browse the list of sites to waiting to be bookmarked. Every time you bookmark a site, you get a credit. Every time someone else bookmarks your site, you lose a credit. What’s great is that with one click, you can submit others bookmarks to 18 different sites!
In all, you can get more than 300 addition bookmarks per month, all for free. If you don’t want to have to do the work of submitting other people’s bookmarks (which isn’t hard), or y ou want more than 300 bookmarks per month, you can pay for the service. The prices are reasonable & for those who are serious about Google domination, you can have yourself over 6,000 bookmarks per month without any work on your part.
If you haven’t clicked yet, get over to SocialAdr – Click Here – try it out for yourself. Setup only took me 20 minutes & I was up and running, getting bookmarks for my site on the first day.
